Why they’re important? Theory
Does the phrase “the Presentation is Half the Sale” ring a bell? It is true, the better the presentation the better the chances of attracting offers of employment. The real moment of truth takes place at the interview. But consider how importantly first impressions affect the possibility of being invited to interview? Unfortunately, in most cases first impressions are derived from cover letters and resumes. Therefore, it makes sense to be sure cover letters and resumes are impressive, right from the very beginning. After all, standing out above the competition must start from the first moment of contact. “The presentation is half the sale.”
What is a “Presentation Brochure”?
Our “Presentation Brochure” is the theater’s marquee, the movie’s billboard, the book’s cover, the celebrant’s tuxedo, the sign that announces an applicants presence, interest and personality.
All of this occurs before applicants and interviewers speak by phone and/or make eye contact. Its explicit, tasteful, and deliberate design elevates applicants well above all others. Similar applications are generally utilized by actors and models. That is not to suggest that we display a collage of pictorial applicant poses within the “Presentation Brochure”; it does display in a most professional and, I might ad, elegant design format the applicant’s cover letter, resume, letters of recommendation and other pertinent necessary inclusions. A pocket is made a part of the inside back cover in which an actual paper copy of the cover letter and resume is placed, simply because employers require them for their files as required by law.
Custom Designed Personal CardsWhat are Personal Cards?
They are 2” x 3.5” cards (very much like a business card) which are given to the interviewer upon departure, not before. Personal Cards are easily stored records of applicant contact information.
